Since 2007, Freya has been performing as a pianist and musical director at music theatre productions in the Netherlands, including Joseph! (2008, Stage Entertainment), Miss Saigon (2011, Stage Entertainment), Annie (2012, Albert Verlinde Entertainment), Sprookjesboom III (2014, Efteling) and the Sound of Music (2014-2015, Albert Verlinde/Stage Entertainment).


Freya completed her M.A. in Musicology and Gender Studies at Utrecht University in 2013 with a thesis on Exceptional performance and Creativity in so-called Musical Prodigies.

In 2015, Freya started working as Associate Consultant at the Boston Consulting Group in Amsterdam. Before that, she was involved with the introduction of Delivering Happiness in the Netherlands. She carried out research and delivered workshops on growth of business and employees, using happiness as a bussiness model.
